Mobile App Development That Ships and Survives Real Users
We are a Brooklyn app development team of about 20 engineers. We design, build and look after mobile apps for founders and businesses across the United States, and we have launched more than 300 products since 2019. You do not need to know or care which framework sits underneath. You need an app that works, a team that answers, and a price you understood before you started.
Start with a two week trial validation sprint, no upfront billing. If the work is not right, you walk away before the real budget moves.
App development services, end to end
Most of our clients arrive in one of three places. They have an idea and no product yet. They have an app that a previous team built badly. Or they have a working app and nobody reliable to run it. Our app development service covers all three, under one team.
- New apps. Discovery, design, build, store launch and support, taken from an idea to a product real users can download.
- Apps that need rescuing. We take over codebases built by other teams, work out what is salvageable, and fix or rebuild with a written verdict first.
- Apps that need a team. Embedded engineers who join your Slack, your standups and your GitHub, and ship like an in-house team.
- Apps that need looking after. Maintenance, OS and store updates, monitoring and small improvements on a steady monthly plan.
iOS, Android, or one codebase for both
Your customers do not search for a framework, and neither should you have to. Here is the plain version of the choice, and we will walk you through it on the first call.
- Cross-platform, our usual route. One codebase, usually React Native, builds your iPhone and Android apps together. It is faster and cheaper to run, and it is how most of our 300+ launches were built.
- Native iOS or Android. Right when your app depends heavily on one platform's newest features or extreme performance. We will tell you honestly if you need it.
- Web app alongside. Admin panels, dashboards and companion web apps in React and Next.js, built by the same team so everything stays in sync.
Why founders who were burned once choose us
Our two biggest clients are solo, non-technical founders who were both let down by a previous build before they found us. Everything below exists because of what went wrong for them the first time.
- You own everything. Your code, your store accounts, your data. Set up in your name from day one, not held hostage in ours.
- You see progress weekly. A working version on your own phone at the end of every sprint, not a status report and a promise.
- The price is written down first. Scope, cost and timeline in writing before build work starts, and changes are priced before they are done, not after.
- You can leave. A two week trial sprint with no upfront billing, and flexible scaling after that. We keep clients at a 95.4% retention rate by earning it monthly.
What mobile app development costs
These ranges come from the same figures we publish in our cost guides. Where your app lands depends on features, integrations and how much of it already exists.
| Type of app | Typical build cost | What drives it |
|---|---|---|
| Simple app, few screens, no custom backend | From $25,000 | Content, forms, basic accounts |
| Production grade app for a real business | $60,000 to $120,000+ | Custom backend, payments, admin panel, both stores |
| Marketplace or two sided app | $80,000 and up | Two user apps plus an admin system, payments and trust features |
| Maintenance after launch | 15 to 20% of build cost per year | Updates, monitoring, store changes, small fixes |
Every project is quoted individually after a fit check. If your budget cannot build the app properly, we will tell you what to cut, or tell you not to start.
How we build your app
- 01
Fit check
A short call to understand your product, your users and where the project stands. If we are not the right team, we say so.
- 02
Scope and plan
We turn your idea or your existing app into a written plan with features, cost and timeline before build work starts.
- 03
Design
Screens and flows are designed and approved by you first, so there are no surprises when the app is built.
- 04
Build in sprints
Development in two week sprints with a working version you can open on your own phone at the end of each one.
- 05
Testing on real devices
We test on real iOS and Android devices, not just simulators, and fix what real use turns up.
- 06
Store launch
We handle App Store and Google Play submission, review questions and release.
- 07
Support after launch
Monitoring, updates and small improvements continue under a maintenance plan, so the app does not rot.

How much does mobile app development cost?
A production grade app for a real business usually lands between $60,000 and $120,000 or more, depending on features and integrations. Simpler apps start lower, and marketplaces cost more because they are really two apps plus an admin system. Our full breakdown is on the app development cost page.
How long does it take to build an app?
A typical first version takes a few months from signed scope to store launch. The honest drivers are how many features version one really needs, how fast feedback comes back, and store review times. Our timeline guide breaks it down phase by phase.
Do I need an iPhone app, an Android app, or both?
Most founders should launch on both, and one cross-platform codebase is usually the sensible way to pay for that. We will recommend native development only when your app genuinely needs it, and we will explain why in plain words.
Can you take over an app another team built?
Yes, that is a large part of our work. We start with a check of the existing app and codebase, give you a written verdict on what can be kept and what cannot, and then fix or rebuild. See the app rescue and takeover page.
Do I own the code and the app store accounts?
Yes, completely. Your code repository, your Apple and Google developer accounts and your data are in your name from day one. If you ever leave, everything goes with you.
Where are you based, and can we meet?
Brooklyn, New York City. We work with founders across the United States, and in-person meetings are available in NYC.

Not sure where your app stands?
Start with a free app check. Two engineers look at your product and your code, and tell you honestly what is working, what is not, and what it would take to fix it. If the report is genuinely useful, all we ask for is a testimonial.
