REACT NATIVE APP DEVELOPMENT

React Native App Development, Done by Specialists

React Native is our primary stack, and it sits inside our wider app development service for a simple reason. One codebase builds your iPhone and Android apps together, so you launch faster, pay for one team, and maintain one product. Your customers will never know or care which framework you used. You will feel it in the cost, the speed and the maintenance bill.

Already have a React Native app? We also migrate, upgrade and rescue React Native apps built by other teams.

When React Native is the right choice

  • You need both stores. Most consumer and business apps need iOS and Android. React Native builds both from one codebase with native look and feel.
  • Your app is product, not platform showcase. Accounts, content, payments, bookings, messaging, maps and dashboards all run well in React Native. That covers most real businesses.
  • You want updates without store waits. Over the air updates let us ship many fixes and small changes to your live app without a full store review cycle.
  • You want one team long term. Every engineer on the project works in the same codebase, which keeps sprints faster and maintenance simpler.

When we will tell you not to use it

Honest advice is the whole point of a specialist. There are cases where React Native is the wrong tool, and we say so on the first call.

  • Heavy native features first. If your app lives or dies on the newest platform specific hardware features on day one, native may serve you better.
  • Extreme performance edges. High end 3D games and similar workloads belong in native or game engines.
  • A working native app already exists. If you already have healthy native apps, we will not sell you a rewrite for our convenience.

React Native New Architecture and Expo migration

React Native has moved to its New Architecture, and newer React Native versions are turning the old bridge off. Apps built a few years ago will feel this as upgrade problems, libraries that stop working, and store submissions that get harder. This is now one of the most common reasons React Native apps come to us.

  • Upgrade path assessment. We check your current React Native and Expo versions, your native modules and your libraries, and tell you what an upgrade actually involves before quoting it.
  • Staged migration. Upgrades run in stages with the live app kept shippable, not as one big bang rewrite.
  • Expo and EAS setup. Build, submit and over the air update pipelines set up properly, so releases stop being a manual event.

React Native vs Flutter, briefly

Flutter is a good framework, and for a team already built around Dart it can be the right call. We build in React Native because most product teams and founders benefit from the JavaScript and React ecosystem, a larger hiring pool, and sharing skills with the web app that usually sits next to the mobile app. The honest comparison is in our guide.

  • Choose React Native if your web product is React, you want the biggest ecosystem, and over the air updates matter to you.
  • Choose Flutter if your existing team is Dart based, or your design needs its very custom rendering approach.

What a React Native app costs

One codebase instead of two is the main reason React Native apps cost less to build and much less to maintain than separate native apps. Ranges match our published cost guides.

Type of appTypical build costNotes
React Native MVPFrom $25,000Core flows, both stores, basic backend
Production grade React Native app$60,000 to $120,000+Custom backend, payments, admin panel, store launch
React Native version upgrade or migrationQuoted after assessmentDepends on your current version and native modules
Maintenance15 to 20% of build cost per yearOne codebase to update, not two

Every React Native project is quoted in writing after a fit check or, for existing apps, after an upgrade assessment.

How we build your app

  1. 01

    Fit check

A short call to understand your product, your users and where the project stands. If we are not the right team, we say so.

  2. 02

    Scope and plan

We turn your idea or your existing app into a written plan with features, cost and timeline before build work starts.

  3. 03

    Design

Screens and flows are designed and approved by you first, so there are no surprises when the app is built.

  4. 04

    Build in sprints

Development in two week sprints with a working version you can open on your own phone at the end of each one.

  5. 05

    Testing on real devices

We test on real iOS and Android devices, not just simulators, and fix what real use turns up.

  6. 06

    Store launch

We handle App Store and Google Play submission, review questions and release.

  7. 07

    Support after launch

Monitoring, updates and small improvements continue under a maintenance plan, so the app does not rot.

Frequently asked questions

Is React Native good enough for a real business app?

Yes. It powers serious consumer and business apps, including several in our own portfolio of 300+ launches. The limits show up in heavy native features and extreme performance cases, and we will flag those honestly before you commit.

How much does a React Native app cost?

A production grade React Native app usually lands between $60,000 and $120,000 or more depending on scope, with MVPs starting lower. Because one codebase covers iOS and Android, both build and maintenance cost less than two native apps.

Can you upgrade our old React Native app to the New Architecture?

Yes, migrations and upgrades are a regular part of our work. We start with an assessment of your versions, libraries and native modules, then migrate in stages while keeping your live app shippable.

React Native or Flutter, which should we choose?

For most founders we recommend React Native, mainly for the React ecosystem, the hiring pool and over the air updates. Flutter is a strong framework and wins in a few specific cases. Our comparison guide walks through both honestly.

Do you use Expo?

Where it fits, yes. Expo with EAS gives fast builds, simple store submission and over the air updates. For apps that need custom native modules we use the bare workflow or a mix, and we will explain the trade-off in plain words.

Not sure where your app stands?

Start with a free app check. Two engineers look at your product and your code, and tell you honestly what is working, what is not, and what it would take to fix it. If the report is genuinely useful, all we ask for is a testimonial.
